The alkali metals (Group 1) are generally soft, are low in density, have low melting points, and are highly reactive. This group includes lithium (Li), sodium (Na), potassium (K), rubidium (Rb), cesium (Cs), and francium (Fr). Hydrogen (H) is technically a member of this group, but doesn’t really fit in.
